The Amazing Can-o-Worms System

Are you interested in a great hands-on lesson to teach your kids to "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle"? Let us introduce you to the Can-O-Worms system. The Can-O-Worms is a uniquely-designed vermicompost bin. By letting the worms do the work, you can convert approximately 6 to 8 lbs. of organic material per day into dark rich vermicompost.

You can turn cafeteria scraps, shredded newspaper, etc. into some of the best fertilizer on the planet - vermicompost or worm castings. Go to your local nursery and see how much worm castings cost. Now you can have your students turn school garbage into this "black gold".

The Can-O-Worms can hold 12,000 to 15,000 worms (12 to 15 lbs.). Each pound of worms can eat and convert up to three times their weight of organic materials per week!

The Can-O-Worms is designed to be used indoors. The best part is the stacking tray design which allows the worms to eat their way up through their food, leaving their valuable castings behind. No sifting! Many schools already have the Can-O-Worms. Some faculty lounges have them too!
